Balance for Better IWD 2019 / Current Staff / Events / The University of Newcastle, Australia
The theme of the 2019 International Women’s Day is #BalanceforBetter.
In 2016, Newcastle Law School’s Dr Kcasey McLoughlin wrote: “Once we accept that a more diverse judiciary is a better judiciary, we are able to have important conversations about the scope and content of reforms which might then secure a truly diverse judiciary”.
The same could be said of many professions and sectors.
You are invited to join Kcasey, our Women in STEMM Chair, Professor Billie Bonevski and colleagues from across the University to have important conversations about why balance drives a better working world and how we can help create better balance.
Please register here.
Thanks to UniSuper for sponsoring this IWD morning tea for University staff.
