Meet Chem-Dry’s 2018 Franchise of the Year
From community-based marketing to ongoing client engagement, this team showcases the many ways Chem-Dry owners can maximize revenues
All-Star Chem-Dry of Greensboro, North Carolina, has been named the Chem-Dry 2018 Franchise of the Year, an honor that recognizes the brand’s “best of the best” when it comes to owning and operating a successful Chem-Dry franchise.
Owners Rich Reid and Ty Falgout were chosen from more than 2,000 Chem-Dry cleaning franchise locations across the United States. The entrepreneurs opened their first Chem-Dry in 2005 and now own and operate 11 Chem-Dry territories covering a nine-county area throughout the booming Triad and Triangle areas of North Carolina. Over the life of their business, they have found success by cultivating residential and commercial customers, as well as tirelessly working to develop a strong team and retain a large client base.
Award reflects high standards
To receive Franchise of the Year honors, the franchise must be one of Chem-Dry’s best brand operators and franchise leaders. Competitors are evaluated on their leadership, support and overall service excellence efforts, which include attending trainings and other owner meetings, such as the annual convention, where they can share their ideas and best practices with other owners.
“We look to our seasoned franchise owners to perform well, but also to help other owners find success,” says Doug Smith, Senior Vice President of Franchise Development. “They play a pivotal role in helping new Chem-Dry cleaning franchise owners ramp up operations. They are an important bridge for those owners for the early weeks and months when training has ended, and they are booking their first clients and getting used to the daily operations of the business.”
Competition for honor is aggressive
“It seems like each year it gets more difficult to select a winner of this award,” adds Dan Tarantin, President. “Our network of franchisees is truly amazing, but Rich and Ty truly set themselves apart. They have demonstrated all of the key attributes needed to be successful with their franchise, from helping other franchisees to marketing their business to providing outstanding customer service. Their commitment to their customers is apparent every day, and their drive is contagious to other franchisees. I can’t wait to see what the next year holds for them and their team.”
